Job Description

As Lead Groovy-Grails Developer, you will own and drive technical projects from specification through to delivery and support - i.e. monitoring, reporting & optimization. You will be responsible for various projects. This is a hands-on role where you will be expected to analyze business requirements and develop specifications, design implementations and write code and test cases.

Responsibilities

• Aide in Design and development web architecture roadmap for the companies portfolio of products
• Development and maintenance of all API’s and Web App user interfaces
• Design, development, debug, monitor and maintain the companies Grails backend service

Job Requirements

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

• ·       Expert level development experience with Groovy and Grails 2.3;
• ·       5+ years experience in software development using Java/J2EE technologies;
• ·       Extensive experience focusing on application design and development;
• ·       Must have experience using UML for technical design documentation;
• ·       Solid experience and very good understanding of SOA, general enterprise architecture and Object Oriented Programming concepts;
• ·       Must have experience with web and enterprise application development;
• ·       Hands on experience with Hibernate;
• ·       Experience with MySQL database and related tools
• ·       Experience with integration of UI CSS, HTML and Cross Browser support
• ·       Experience with Spring and Spring MVC and Struts;
• ·       Solid technical skills. Need to know J2EE inside and out;
• ·       A track record of great teamwork and the ability to work independently and drive projects to completion;
• ·       Good communication skills;
• ·       Strong familiarity with MAC OS and IOS products
• ·       Preference given to developers who are developing on MAC OS
• ·       Working knowledge of GitHub
