Job Title: ASSISTANT FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER (Restaurant Supervisor)-Oakville

THE OPPORTUNITY

SCOPE:
This role reports to the facility Food & Beverage Manager and provides key assistance to the overall supervision and success of the Food & Beverage department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
     - Implement, execute and assess specials, special events and promotions
     - Provide positive customer service and customer relations
     - Conduct physical inventories 
     - Conduct closing procedures and complete daily reports
     - Assist in scheduling staff
     - Supervise staff
     - Assess customer base – know who is and who is not supporting the F&B operations
     - Candidate must be able to work flexible hours and weekends
     - Must be able to step in “hands-on” at high volume times to assist staff and cover breaks
     - This is a full-time position that includes evening / weekend as the Bar closes at 2 am
     - Operate in accordance to all Fire, Health, liquor regulations and laws governing the province
     - Maintain daily, weekly side duties and cleaning schedules for staff
     - Balance all cash, credit cards and product variances at end of each shift with accuracy
     - Control the shifts labour cost
     - All other duties assigned by the F&B Manager
     - Participate in hiring staff and will conduct 1st interviews
     - Provide coaching & discipline to team mates
     - Maintains and exceeds provincial Health, Safety and Sanitation standards
     - Assist the F&B Manager with budget forecasting and projections
     - Actively participate in meetings and training sessions
     - Work with the F&B Manager on special projects and personal development
     - Manage shifts
     - Coach, motivate, develop staff to ensure high quality, consistent service
     - Ensure that company policies and procedures, reporting systems, third party agreements, and applicable local acts and legislation are adhered to ALL
     - Take a proactive approach in preventing customer and/or employee situations
     - Enhance revenues through suggestive selling techniques
     - Will fill in for the F&B manager during vacation, or other absences

QUALIFICATIONS/KEY REQUIREMENTS

     - Community college or trade school certificate, diploma or degree or equivalent
     - Minimum 2 years as kitchen supervisor or manager
     - ServSafe or Safe Food Handler Certified
