Job Title: Seasonal Positions
Description
Cavendish Agri Services is looking for individuals to fill seasonal positions. To be based at our Salisbury, New Brunswick location. Cavendish Agri Services supports farmers in growing healthy and productive crops. We have 13 manufacturing/retail locations throughout Atlantic Canada and Maine. Our primary products include fertilizers, crop protectants and we are leaders in providing expertise. Truck Driver (8 – 14 weeks) Successful Candidate will possess the following qualifications: • Preference will be given to those candidates who have completed grade 12 or equivalent; • Ability to work evening hours and have experience working with minimal supervision; • Valid Class 1 driver’s license required; Class 3 may be considered; • Knowledge of agriculture would be considered an asset. Key responsibilities: • Loading trucks and Customer deliveries while working in conjunction with administration/dispatch; • Some general plant labour; • Other duties as assigned. Seasonal Office/Dispatch (8 – 10 weeks) Successful Candidate will possess the following qualifications: • Minimum high school education with previous administrative experience; • Proficient with PC programs, experience with specialized computer programs and/or accounting programs; • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with pleasant mannerism; • Ability to work evening and weekend hours during peak season; • Knowledge of Agriculture and of the geographic area of New Brunswick area would be an asset. Key responsibilities: • Set up loads for deliveries to customers; • Greet customers & clients in a prompt and friendly manner; • Data entry, filing and other administrative duties as required. Plant Workers (8 – 10 weeks) Successful Candidate will possess the following qualifications: • Preference will be given to those candidates who have completed grade 12 or equivalent; • Ability to work evening hours and have experience working with minimal supervision; • Valid class 5 drivers license would be considered an asset; • Experience operating a forklift would be considered an asset • Knowledge of agriculture would be considered an asset. Key responsibilities: • Work on a fertilizer production line in a fast paced environment; • Help with plant maintenance and housekeeping.
