       Plan, organize and implement programs and special events

      Ensure all regulars programs are setup for daily activities

      Keep up to date on programming trends and innovative ideas for seniors’ programs and special events

      Organize day-trips and special events (perhaps in partnership with other seniors’ organizations).

      Develop contracts/agreements with program instructors (paid & volunteers)

      Report to the Executive Director, communicating on a regular basis regarding Centre information.

      Provide assistance and support for fundraising initiatives and with writing grant applications

      Create and provide content for monthly  newsletter concerning programs

      Plan, organize and implement the volunteer program

      Develop volunteer job descriptions, evaluations, procedures and polices

      Match volunteer skills and abilities with our needs

      Interview, hire and dismiss volunteers; supervise and/or train as necessary

      Coordinate volunteer for all events and programs

      Submit regular volunteer posting to “Go Volunteer” and other channels, such as ESL schools, immigrants serving agencies, maintain volunteer web page etc.

      Perform other duties as assigned

Total Safety Services, Edmonton branch has an exciting opportunity available for an Experienced Breathing Air / H2S Technician.
 
Requirements:
·         Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience
·         Possess one or more manufacturer certifications (Scott preferred)
·         Ability to read, interpret and record data from meters, gauges, panels, computer consoles and other equipment.
·         Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
·         Valid driver's license and valid proof of vehicle insurance. Must possess good driving record and be insurable for Total Safety vehicle insurance while driving company truck.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
·         Ability to perform quality assurance check on equipment prior to delivery to customer and to assess damage on equipment before return from customer.
·         Ability to diagnose basic problems, troubleshoot equipment and take corrective action within established guidelines.
·         Trained in Respiratory Protection and fully certified to wear respiratory breathing equipment (Fit Tested).
